David Mitroff, Ph.D. is a business consultant, marketing expert, keynote speaker and restaurateur who has held numerous consultative positions for diverse organizations such as LexisNexis, United Healthcare, U.S. Department of Justice, Providian Financial, Nordstrom, Limited Brands, Constant Contact, Ben & Jerry’s and the YMCA. David has an extensive educational background, in addition to professional sales training, which includes a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with coursework in Business Administration, Culinary Arts, Legal Studies and Marketing providing a foundation for excellent critical and analytical thinking, business strategy and relationship building.

Along with co-founding five companies, David organizes and hosts over fifty events a year and continually collaborates with several consultant groups, merchant associations, and charities to best serve the community as he is a fourth generation San Franciscan. He is an active member on the executive board or advisory committees for several organizations, including serving on the Advisory Board, Entrepreneurship and Business Management for the College of Alameda.

David has been an instructor at General Assembly, Diablo Valley College, and Contra Costa College, as well as conducting 100’s of workshops for the Small Business Development Centers throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

David is an instructor for the UC Berkeley Extension International Diploma Program (IDP) which covers Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Global Business Management, Marketing and Project Management.

Wide range of courses and programs including the 12-Month Management and Business Track that combines academic study, intensive training and on-the-job work experience. Teaching courses including 30 hour Marketing Strategy BUS ADM X415 on a quarterly basis, along with other courses and seminars on wide range of topics such as Data-Driven Marketing, Social Media, Consulting and Entrepreneurship.

Also advise and mentor the University of California, Berkeley Entrepreneurship & Innovation students by providing Elevator Pitch Coaching and have participated on the advisory review team of the UC Berkeley Extension academic program.

Institute of Entrepreneurial Leadership’s social marketing for entrepreneurs offers a great service connecting people who are just starting their business and people who already have established their business. David Mitroff believes this program will help startup companies and business people to learn how to leverage the use of social media marketing in their business. David Mitroff instructed a lecture as part of a group of on-demand seminar lectures that will be available to military Veteran Entrepreneurs to help them improve their businesses.

David has been a mentor for the Institute of Entrepreneurial Leadership (IEL) program by also providing Elevator Pitch Coaching, workshop and lectures for different academic programs.
